Using this website

You can browse this site and use the price builder and quote form for free. Please don't misuse the form, send spam, or try to break or overload the site. The words, design and graphics on this site belong to High Country Digital unless noted.

Prices and estimates

Prices shown on this site are in US dollars. The price builder gives an estimate, not a final price. Before any work starts, I send a written agreement with the exact price, and that agreement is what we both follow. If these terms and your signed agreement ever disagree, the agreement wins.

There are no hidden fees. The only other cost is your domain name, which is registered in your name and paid to the registrar, usually about $10 to $20 a year. Anything extra, like photography or custom features, is quoted in writing before I do it.

See it before you pay

I design your site and show it to you before you pay anything. If you don't like it and we can't fix it, you walk away and owe nothing.

Refund policy

Before you approve the design: nothing is charged, so there's nothing to refund.
After you approve the design: the setup fee or one time price isn't refundable, because the work has been done.
Monthly plans: a month that has already started isn't refunded. Cancel any time with 30 days notice by email, and future charges stop after that.
If I can't deliver what we agreed to: I'll refund what you paid for the part I didn't deliver.

Cancelling and ownership

The monthly plan is month to month, with 30 days notice. After 6 paid months the website is yours, and I hand over the files and help move it to your own account at no charge. If you cancel before that, you can buy the site for $1,500 minus the monthly payments you've made, or let it come down at the end of the notice period. Your domain, Google Business Profile, logo, photos and wording are always yours.

Late payments

Monthly charges are billed in advance through Stripe. If a payment is more than 30 days late, I'll email you first, and the site may be paused until it's caught up.

What I can't promise

I build every site to give you the best shot at being found, but no one controls Google, so I don't guarantee rankings, calls or sales. I also can't control outages at the services sites run on, like Cloudflare or Google, though I'll work to get things back up quickly.

Your content

Only send me photos, logos and wording you have the right to use. You give me permission to use them on your site. I use properly licensed fonts and images on every site I build.

Limits

To the extent the law allows, if something goes wrong, my total responsibility is limited to what you paid me in the 3 months before the problem. I'm not responsible for lost profits or other indirect losses.

The law that applies

These terms follow North Carolina law. If we ever disagree, let's talk first. Most things can be fixed with a phone call.

Changes

If these terms change, I'll update this page and the date at the top. Changes never affect an agreement you've already signed.
